♫ 16th June 2009
This last weekend was tremendously enjoyable! Holy Trinity in Utrecht was blessed with gorgeous weather for the first day of their Flowers and Music Festival. I played a short recital there on organ and piano with music by composers all celebrating an important anniversary this year.
The next day the weather was less clement but during the morning service my new Communion setting, the Trinity Service was used for the first time. It was exciting to hear how it sounded and how the congregation responded to it. The standard of music at Holy Trinity is excellent and I hope that they enjoy the new setting.
At the moment I am preparing for the summer (lots of organ music for a recital in London and visits to cathedrals in August). There are also a couple of composition deadlines coming up, but more about that later.
