Born in the Netherlands, Patrick was educated at
the British School in the Netherlands. He began piano lessons aged 9
and won first prize at the Edith Stein Concours (now Prinses Cristina
Concours) in 1983.
From 1987 he studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with the
latvian pianist Naum Grubert, graduating with Distinction in 1992.
Since then he has played in the UK, Spain, Switzerland, former
Yugoslavia and the US. At home in the Netherlands he gives regular
solo recitals as well as an impressive range of chamber music
concerts.
Recent projects include the complete Chopin Études (1998) and
Schubert's complete piano solo works (2000). Patrick is much in demand
as an accompanist and has regularly given summer courses for
young pianists in Spain.
